Gregory G. Smith founded the firm on July 1, 1993, after practicing with his father's firm for 5 years.  He received a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Montana, and a J.D. with Honors from the University of Montana School of Law.
    Gregg handles a variety of litigation and transactional matters, emphasizing personal injury and commercial litigation.  He oversees the firm's extensive liquor and gaming practice.  Gregg is a substitute Justice of the Peace for Cascade County, a position which offers him a unique perspective as a litigation attorney. He also conducts seminars on law office automation.
    Gregg is married and has two sons.

Stephanie A. Oblander

    Stephanie A. Oblander has been an associate attorney with Smith Law Offices since August 1996.  She was born in 1971, and raised on a farm in Ballantine, Montana. She graduated from the University of Great Falls Magna Cum Laude in 1993, and graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 1996.
    Stephanie's practice emphasizes litigation, family law, estate planning, and general business matters.  She enjoys outdoor recreational sports, running, horses, her macaw, "Cisco," and cooking.

Karen M. Harant

    Karen Harant, our paralegal, has worked with us since August 1994.  Karen was born and raised in Great Falls, and attended the University of Montana as a Journalism major.  In 1989 she decided to pursue a paralegal career and transfered to the University of Great Falls where she received her education in Paralegal Studies.
    Karen provides support in probate, family, liquor and gaming matters while also acting as office manager.  Karen is married and spends her free time skiing, running or relaxing with her dalmation, Alex.
