Gregg Smith
Gregg graduated from the University of Montana in 1985 with a B.S. in Business Administration (Emph: Accounting). He graduated with honors from the University of Montana School of Law in 1988. After graduation, he returned to his hometown of Great Falls, and started practice with his father’s firm, where he remained for 5 years until he left in 1993 to start his own practice.
Gregg was recently admitted to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 7 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism.
Gregg is active in local charitable organizations. He is a past president of the Cascade County Bar Association and the Cascade County Law Clinic. He has been President of the Board of Directors of the United Way and has served as Chairman of its annual fundraising campaign. He is a former Trustee of the State Bar of Montana, a former member of the State Bar of Montana Technology Committee and a current member of the Judicial Relations Committee. Currently, he enjoys spending time with his ‘little,’ for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Montana.
